Itineraries, Bays & Landings

Starting from VILLASIMIUS - Marina di Villasimius you will sail and discover the incredible beauty of the Marine Protected Area. Putting the bow to the East, our sailing trips take you to discover Capo Carbonara, the Island of Cabbages and the wonderful Spiaggia del Giunco and Timi Ama, as well as countless other naturalistic jewels. Sailing west instead, you reach the waters of Campu Longu, Campus, Porto Saruxi, all the way to Capo Boi and Solanas.
Perhaps the best known beach in Villasimius. A strip of very white sand with very shallow water and almost a kilometer long.
The perfect beach in terms of water grain size and depth, ideal for both children and long, relaxing summer swims. The bright turquoise and the shadow of the boat silhouetted against the very white seabed almost give the feeling of being suspended in the sky. Although it is a sandy bottom, it is also excellent for snorkeling given the large number of fish that are not afraid of human proximity in an almost unreal balance
Suitable as an intermediate stop or final swim before returning to port after a day of sailing between Cape Boi and Punta Molentis.

A small emerald pearl surrounded by lush Mediterranean scrubland.
Campus beach is the gateway to Villasimius with fine white sand and a seabed that slopes gently offshore. Its emerald waters are sandwiched between two small headlands while on the west side is a shallow rocky seabed that is home to a wealth of marine life. It is an excellent stopping point for long swims and to treat yourself to an aperitif or a quick meal before setting sail again.
Great shelter for an aperitif, bathroom stop or as an intermediate stop during the daily sail. Also perfect as a lunch stop or long break with snorkeling

Protected from northeast winds up to sirocco, fair anchorage even with not excessive mistral.
A small group of small beaches, separated by small rock protrusions and with white sand dunes and junipers behind them.
Porto Sa Ruxi appears from the sea as a succession of small beaches separated by smooth pale granite rocks. Rich in fish fauna ossevabile as it wanders among the submerged stones, it is striking for the particular brilliance of its waters. This landing place is also included within the Villasimius Marine Protected Area, which protects its landscape and preserves its conservation
Location suitable for a short stop with a swim possibly before the afternoon thermal breeze. On paticularly calm days with little wind it is a good place to have an aperitif or long stop with snorkeling and lunch.

Excellent with all northeast winds up to the easterly but with a tendency to suffer the southeasterly wave.
A rare cobalt-colored pearl almost unreachable by land and protected from prying eyes.
Cala Sirena is the western limit of the marine park and is a small, deep bay, overhung by sheer rocky ridges and under the watchful protection of the Spanish tower of Capo Boi. Nicknamed "Cala macchinetta" in the 1980s, for a long time it was home to the carcasses of multiple cars that crashed on its sheer rocky ridges. Totally cleaned up and reclaimed, it now shows itself in all its wild beauty, aided by the fact that it is particularly difficult to reach by land.
Excellent anchorage for picturesque swimming overlooked by high rocky ridges, the bay lends itself to both short stops and aperitifs and snorkeling sessions.

The island that hosts the most important lighthouse for those sailing from the Tyrrhenian Sea to Cagliari and whose name is a real "crab."
Isola dei Cavoli, or more accurately Isola dei Granchi, is a small island located a few hundred meters southeast of Capo Carbonara. Home to a large automatic lighthouse built in the mid-19th century, it is a naturalistic paradise for birds and a colorful marine fauna that finds hospitality in the folds of its granite rocks. Inhabited until the last century, it is now home to an oceanographic research center of the University of Cagliari and hosts in its depths both a number of shipwrecks and the famous statue of Our Lady of the Shipwrecked, the work of Sardinian sculptor Pinuccio Sciola, to whom a colorful folkloric procession of boats is dedicated every summer .
Excellent location for intermediate stop during sailing and suitable for snorkeling with several underwater peculiarities to observe.

One of the most enchanting corners that the coast of southern Sardinia can offer.
Porto Giunco is a little piece of paradise, very sheltered from northerly winds and with a backdrop of the whitest sand and crystal clear water. An excellent landing place to drop anchor for long stops, it offers a spectacular and varied view that ranges from the rocky coast to sand dunes, from small groups of granite rocks to the calm waters of Notteri Pond, a bird sanctuary that is home to numerous species of birds. Rich in fish and marine organisms, it is one of the most representative places in Villasimius within the Marine Protected Area.
The perfect place for a long bathroom break and where to have a light lunch during a day of sailing.

A sky-blue body of water in front of a rocky coastline reminiscent of ancient rock quarrymen's labors.
The name itself brings back memories of the labors of the workers in the rock quarry that stands out in the background and fills the view with the remnants of the workings done. In extreme contrast to its recent history, the bay of Cava Usai turns out to be a splendid setting in which to float lazily and swim in water of rare transparency. Its proximity to Porto Giunco makes it very desirable to anyone who wants a more reserved landing place away from the fashions and desires of the masses.
Alternative stop at Porto Giunco for a long swim break, snorkeling and where to have a light lunch.

One of the most famous places in southern Sardinia, an inseparable combination of ultra-white sand and submerged slabs of granite
Punta Molentis is perhaps the epitome of all the beauty that the Villasimius area can offer: a beach of very white sand dotted with pink on the shoreline, rocks and granite cliffs glistening in the sun and water of a rare transparency. Much frequented for its notoriety resulting not only from its unique beauty but also from the many commercials it has been the scene of, this small bay is the idealized image of many tourists who come to discover Sardinia. To be reached requires a fair amount of navigation but that is repaid by this more unique than rare spectacle.
The most southeastern stop reachable during the day. Great location for swimming, snorkeling and light lunch before a long sail back to port
