Comfortable and sheltered from even intense Mistral (Northwest) waves, it is perfect in all wind conditions from Tramontana (North) to Levante (East).
The name itself, meaning painted sea, tells of the colors of one of the most popular bays in southern Sardegna.
Although it has a beach of small, smooth pebbles, the emerald-colored water, the very fine white sand and the proximity to the city of Cagliari make Su Mari Pintau one of the most frequented and appreciated bays by both bathers and nautical boaters. The color of the sea, especially in the morning hours and with flat calm, takes on wonderful emerald reflections worthy, as the name suggests, of an art painting.
Perfect location for long swims and eating a light lunch. Also excellent as an intermediate stop during sailing.

Long white sandy beach surrounded by low vegetation and particularly popular with beach tourism.
With a white sand beach more than a kilometer long, Geremeas Bay, or Marongiu Beach, is one of the most beautiful on the eastern side of the Gulf of Angels. The crystal-clear water, with colors between Turquoise and emerald green, lets you see in transparency several scattered shoals of Atlantic posidonia that dot the bay like so many small moles. In winter periods, and sometimes even in particularly rainy summers, the Riu Geremeas River empties onto the central portion of the beach, bringing in new sand and a few pebbles.
Beautiful bay to sail through that lends itself, under certain Weather conditions, to stops with snorkeling on the southeast side. With ideal Weather it is also perfect for longer stops with lunch and relaxation.

To its right stands imposingly Capo Boi with its distinctive Argonese tower so flared in shape that it almost looks like a truncated pyramid, unique in its kind.
